How it all started on 24th Dec 1998 The PWA is basically a couple guys just wrestling and grappling around trying to pin or make the other guy give. It's simple, really. PPVs are usually held outside, but sometimes inside if the weather holds us back. The only inside "arena" is this basement. Anyways...
The PWA all started when two people, Derrick and Jeff (Brayker and Poke) started a tag team called The Tommyknockers. Joe and Drew (then called Sledge and The Disgruntled Carpenter) decided to copy them and they formed their own tag team called The Hammer Brothers (because they both had on hammer pants). The Tommyknockers were angered by the copiness of The Hammer Brothers so they challenged them to a fight. It was to decide the tag team champions. Pete and Zimmerman refed the match and Brayker one by a pin on Sledge. But it didn't end their. Pete was added to the roster and slowly the federation began. Since, at the time, The Disgruntled Carpenter was the only cruiserweight, he was awarded the belt. The weight limit for that was too strict, so it was later raised it to 145 lbs., allowing Poke and other new guys like Holgar and Chad into the division. Not long after that it was named the PWA (Proffesional Wrestling Alliance, even if we aren't proffesional) This was all near the date of September of '98, so the PWA is still fairly new. A small tournament was held to decide champion. The contenders were Brayker, Sledge, Pete, and Poke. Poke and Pete fought first and it is, to date, the quickest match to in PWA history. approximately one minute! Poke is ashamed for life. Brayker beat Sledge in a long match. Before the final match, though, Poke and The Disgruntled Carpenter fought. The cruiserweight limit had not been changed yet, so it was a non-title match. Poke redeemed himself by getting a win on DC by submission with his move, the pokerizer. Brayker and Pete then fought a very long and very hard-fought match which ended with Brayker upsetting the huge beast by pinfall. Pete was so enraged that he attacked the referee. He was supposed to get a title shot but a football injury has delayed that for months. Soon after that event, belts were made by using normail pants belts and the scoop part of tin dust pans. It sounds weird, but it worked really cool. The first official PPV was held, Judgement Day. It was cheesingly named after the at-that-time recent WWF PPV. More creative and original names are in the works. Also in the works, are the rules of special matches such as The Royal Rumble, Buried Alive matches, battle royals, triangle matches, Brayker's Rules, The Gauntlet, weapons match, etc. The best match so far was the Brayker's Rules match at No Way Out which pitted The Tommyknockers against The Hammer Brothers. The Tomyknockers won that by submission. It got so crazy that Brayker actually had The Jerichoholic Ninja (at one time known as The Disgruntled Carpenter and now known as The Boogeyman) on the couch in the Crackerjack, getting him to submit while Poke practically clinged on to Jobu (before called Sledge, now called Joe Boxer) keeping him from breaking the hold on his tag team partner. A celebration was held afterwards, with the Hammer Brothers even in a good mood. That, so far, is the most memorable things which have occured in the PWA. At the next PPV, Partner Vs. Partner, three matches pitted the three tag team partners against each other. But that wasn't the highlight. The shocker was in the last match where the Tommyknockers would fight The Hammer Brothers. Poke and The Boogeyman started out and The BM just fell down and Poke did a Jericho pin. The Tommyknockers retained the belt. Joe Boxer seemed to be baffled as Poke and The BM held up the Triple Threat symbol (The Tommyknockers had made it very known that they were looking for a third person to join their fold). But after a few seconds it was Poke and BM who looked confused as Brayker walked over side-by-side Joe Boxer and raised his hand in partnership. Buuut Joe's planned out revenge would soon be spoiled as Brayker clothelined him and The Triple Threat unleashed at him. But, fortunate for Boxer, The Bare Naked Ladies (Holgar and Chad) came in for the save. If you didn't follow it, here's the deal: The Boogeyman was planned to betray his partner, Joe Boxer, for quite some time. Boxer caught on to the plan and formed an alliance with Brayker and planned to double cross Poke and The Boogeyman, but of course he couldn't leave The Tommyknockers so he just used that double-double cross to refreshen the plan. Simple, right? If things continue to go as they are now, the PWA will have a long and lustrous life.
